Bobcats Split Doubleheader at Merrimack

NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – The Quinnipiac softball team took game two of their MAAC doubleheader with Merrimack to even the three-game series after dropping game one.
Quinnipiac started the scoring in the series with a Madison Waltke RBI triple in the second inning. The Warriors would fight back with runs coming in the fifth inning on a sacrifice fly and a two-run double to make it 3-1.
In game two, the Bobcats also took an early lead, going up 3-0 in the first after Riley Potter cleared the bases with a three-run double. Merrimack capitalized on opportunities in the first and third to even the score at three but QU would score on a passed ball and sacrifice fly to win 5-3.
