Bobcats Take Both Games of Doubleheader from Rider

HAMDEN, Conn. – The Quinnipiac softball team won both of its games against Rider this afternoon at home to improve to 3-4 in the MAAC.
In game one, Sydney Horan dominated, not allowing a hit until the seventh inning. The Bobcats scored all of their runs in the third inning, with Riley Potter reaching on an error scoring Mac Davis. Then Mary Fogg stole home before Madison Waltke had a two-run single to extend the lead. Rider would get one run back in the seventh but it wouldn't be enough.
In game two, Rider took an early lead, scoring two runs in the first inning. They took a 3-2 lead into the fourth inning before the Bobcats scored four runs coming on a Mary Fogg single, Riley Potter reaching on error, and a two-run single by Natalia Apatiga. They would hold onto win despite giving up a solo homer in the seventh.
