HAMDEN, Conn. – The Quinnipiac women's volleyball program dropped a MAAC contest vs. Niagara, 3-1, on Saturday afternoon at Burt Kahn Court. QU falls to 3-2 in MAAC play with the result.

The Bobcats took the first set of the game 25-23. QU jumped out to an early 17-11 advantage in the first set, then finished things off to pick up the first point of the contest. Elena Giacomini registered a pair of kills for the final two points of the set.

Niagara took the second set 25-21, the Purple Eagles then took the third frame 25-10, then finished things off 25-18 in the fourth.

NOTES

Elena Giacomini led the Bobcats with 18 kills, while Yagmur Gunes added nine kills.
Damla Gunes recorded 36 assists to lead QU. She also led QU with 13 digs.
Carola Negron Diaz tallied three services aces for the Bobcats.
QU is 3-2 against the Purple Eagles over the last five meetings. Niagara's win in Hamden is its first road victory over QU since 2019.
