Quinnipiac Volleyball Signs Team Impact’s Mona Zehaf

HAMDEN, Conn. – Quinnipiac volleyball head coach Kyle Robinson announced a new team member, signing 7-year-old Mona Zehaf through Team IMPACT.
Mona, who was officially introduced at an in-person press conference on September 27th in Hamden, lives with a severe seizure disorder and several other challenging medical conditions. She will participate in many activities with the team including games, practices, and other team events.
Team IMPACT, a national non-profit organization, has developed a unique multiyear program that matches children facing serious illness and disability with college athletic teams across the country. Based on a clinical model, Team IMPACT guides a symbiotic relationship between teams and children focused on socialization, empowerment, and resilience.
"Team IMPACT is excited to see Mona join the Bobcats," said Emma Simches, Regional Director of Programs, Northeast at Team IMPACT. "We are proud to work with Quinnipiac University, their athletic department, and coaching staff to create lifelong bonds and life-changing outcomes between student-athletes and their Team IMPACT teammates."
Quinnipiac has worked with Team IMPACT for the past 13 years, matching 11 children across its men's soccer, men's tennis, men's hockey, men's lacrosse, women's field hockey, baseball, men's basketball, and women's volleyball programs.
