
Baseball's Comeback Falls Short In Series Finale At Niagara

With the loss, the Bobcats will fall to 17-26 overall and 7-11 in MAAC play, while Niagara will improve to 30-12 overall and 16-2 in the conference.

HOW IT HAPPENED
For the first time of the series, the Purple Eagles were the first ones to score in the game. Niagara put up a four spot in the second inning to get the scoring started.
Keegan O'Connor got the Bobcats back within one as he blasted a three-run home run to left field in the top of the third inning.

In the sixth inning, the Bobcats tied the game at four as Dominick Proctor grounded out, but Matt DeRosa was able to come in and score.
The game stayed tied at four until the bottom of the eighth inning when Niagara got two runs from two separate RBI singles to take a 6-4 lead.
The Bobcats were able to load the bases in the top of the ninth inning and CJ Willis was able to reach base safely on a fielding error, allowing Proctor to score. With the Bobcats down one, the Purple Eagles retired the next two batters to finish off the series sweep.

- Keegan O'Connor led the offense with three RBIs as he launched his 25th career home run in the 3rd inning.
