QU Takes 2 Games at SPU, Including Longest Contest in Team History

JERSEY CITY, N.J. – The Quinnipiac Softball team battled past Saint Peter's in a midweek doubleheader in Jersey City to pick up two conference wins.
Game one was the longest game in program history, going 13 innings. Sydney Horan pitched the entire game, throwing 171 pitches. Natalia Apatiga broke the game open in the top of the 13th with a two-run homer.
In game two, the Bobcats jumped on the Peacocks quickly and got out to a 6-2 lead in the third inning thanks to hits from Sofia Vega, Amanda Engel, Brooke Hilliard, and Ally Hochstadter.
