BOBCATS FINISH AT NO. 2 IN CHAMPIONSHIP RANKINGS

- After high-profile road wins at Oregon and Azusa Pacific, Quinnipiac was bumped up to No. 2 in each of the last two NCATA Championship Rankings, with the championships coming at the end of April.
- Mary Ann Powers' club has only been a two-seed once in the National Championship, the 2013 season that saw them go to the finals.
- The Bobcats had a six-meet regular season that began on Feb. 10 against Morgan State, a meet they won after posting a final score of 262.580.
- Quinnipiac's home opener against LIU saw them post a 272.840 score in a meet against former Bobcat Nicolette Tianga and the Sharks.
- Mary Ann Powers' club won the first of their two west coast meets, posting a 275.595 to top preseason No. 5 Azusa PacifIc before fscoring 275.420 against Oregon three days later.
- Back to back home meets closed out the 2024 regular season, as the Bobcats posted 270.825 and 277.610 against Iona and Gannon on the floor of M&T Bank Arena to close out the 2024 regular season unbeaten.
- The Bobcats posted a 5-1 overall record in 2023, earning the No. 4 seed in the postseason tournament.
- They went on to the national semifinals, falling to top-seeded Baylor. On Sunday, the team claimed four NCATA Individual Event Finals titles in the inversion pyramid, duo tumbling, quad tumbling and aerial tumbling events.
- Quinnipiac defeated Kutztown University, Augustana University, Presbyterian College, Frostburg State University and Caldwell University during the regular season.
- The Bobcats have advanced to the championship round of the NCATA postseason tournament twice (2013, 2018).

- Her greatest career achievement lies in her success with Quinnipiac University, where the team has remained a top-ten nationally ranked team since 2005. Their personal-best finish was fifth place in All-Girl Division I in 2007. In 2009, Powers became one of the founding coaches of the National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling Association (NCATA). In 2020, Powers' hard work along with her fellow co-founders reached new heights as the sport was adopted as an emerging sport for women by the NCAA.
- Quinnipiac has been competitive nationally in every season since the NCATA's creation. Over the last seven seasons, the Bobcats have been ranked as the No. 3 team in the nation. Powers has led the Bobcats to the NCATA semifinals in nine of the last 12 seasons and has made to two NCATA Championship meet appearances, most recently in the 2018 season.
- Powers was recognized by the NCATA in 2016 as the Coach of the Year and was named the ECAC Coach of the Year in three straight seasons from 2017-19.
