
Bobcats Battle to the End in NCATA Title Bout with Baylor

AZUSA, Calif. — The Quinnipiac acrobatics and tumbling program posted its best mark of the NCATA National Tournament by over five points on Saturday but ultimately fell to Baylor by a 271.835-266.265 final in the National Championship meet. Quinnipiac was down just a point heading into the tumbling rounds but the Bears were able to take a point off the Bobcats in that event before besting them by 3.55 in the team event.
The Bobcats took two events off the Bears, besting them in both pyramid and toss after the Bears accumulated a 1.2-point lead in the first two events of the meet.

HIGHLIGHTS
After a strong compulsory event, both Acro 5 and Acro 7 performed well once again, posted a 9.725 and 9.75, respectively.
The pyramid event is where the Bobcats were first able to take points off the Bears, with the open heat highlighting an event that saw no score lower than 9.825 for Quinnipiac.
Consistency again was the theme in the toss heat, as all three heats posted 9.35 or better, with the 450 Salto scoring 9.70
Kat Carter stuck her six-element pass in her swan song in team competition, scoring 9.925 in the six-element heat.
NEXT UP
Quinnipiac competes in 10 event finals on Sunday morning, with the meet beginning at 1 p.m., Eastern. That meet will be streamed live on ESPN+.
