Golf Look To Win Fourth MAAC Championship In A Row

LAKE BUENA VISTA, FL – The Quinnipiac women's golf program returns to the MAAC Championships in Florida this weekend as they look to capture their fourth straight championship. The three-day tournament will start on Friday, April 19^th at the Disney's Palm Golf Course.

LOOKING FOR FOUR IN A ROW

The Bobcats will travel to the MAAC Championships down in Lake Buena Vista, Florida for a three-day tournament.
The 54-hole tournament will be played at Disney's Palm Golf Course with 18 holes being played on each day.

BACK IN ACTION

The Bobcats were last in action on April 14^th as they wrapped up play at the Navy Spring Invitational in Annapolis, Maryland.
Quinnipiac sat in a tie for third after day one and finished day two in second place.
Aimee Uchida finished in a tie for 2^nd place after shooting a two-round total of 150 (+6).
Samantha Galantini finished just one stroke behind Uchida and finished in a tie for 4^th place (151, +7).

LAUDABLE LEEYEN

Leeyen Peralta returns for her fifth year in the fall of 2023.
She competed in 11 events and averaged 74.52 strokes per round.
Her average 74.52 strokes per round is an all-time program best.
Peralta earned six top-10 finishes and five top-five finishes on the campaign.
She recorded a team-best 68 birdies on the season, while also setting the program record
Her 11 rounds for par or better tied the program record.
Peralta earned All-MAAC honors for the third straight season.
She shot a career three-round best at the MAAC Championships, shooting a 216 (E).

FLEXING FUGE

Fuge Zhang returns for her junior season in 2023.
She appeared in 12 events last season, averaging 77.19 strokes per round.
Zhang was named MAAC Golfer of the Year after she came in first place at the MAAC Championships.
She shot a career three-round best 214 (-2) at the MAAC Championship in 2022
Her 214 (-2) at the MAAC Championship stands as the best three-round all-time score at the tournament.
Zhang notched four top-ten finishes and came in the top-five three times.
Zhang earned All-MAAC honors for the second straight season.
