Golf to Compete in Fairfield Tri-Match on Monday

Fairfield, Conn. – The Quinnipiac women's golf team will send six golfers to compete at the Fairfield Tri-Match against the Fairfield Stags and Siena Saints on Monday, April 13^th.

The tri-match will be played at the H. Smith Richardson Golf Course in Fairfield, Connecticut, with the tee times slated from 11:06 AM – 11:51 AM.

LAST TIME OUT

Last time out, the Bobcats finished 7^th out of 16 teams at the Rutgers Invitational in Piscataway, New Jersey (April 11-12).
The Bobcats finished the three-round tournament with a score of 942 (+90). Quinnipiac's best round was the second round of the invitational, as QU finished the second round with a score of 305 (+21).
Marisa Flores and Vaidehi Shah tied for the team lead with a tournament total score of 232 (+19), finishing in a four-way tie for 15^th place.

FALL SEASON RECAP

Quinnipiac competed in five tournaments in the fall and kicked off its season at the Nittany Lion Invitational in State College, Pa.
After an 8^th-place finish at the Nittany Lion Invitational, the Bobcats followed up with a first-place finish at the Lehigh Invitational. Sophia Fujita claimed the Individual crown, shooting a team-best 204 (-9).
Half of the Quinnipiac squad competed at the SHU Fall Classic and finished the tournament in 5^th place out of 15 teams.
After the SHU Fall Invitational, the Bobcats hosted the Quinnipiac Classic and claimed the tournament crown after carding a two-round total of 608.
Quinnipiac closed out its fall season with a 7^th-place finish at the Lady Blue Hen Invitational in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.

2025 MAAC CHAMPIONSHIP RECAP

The Quinnipiac women's golf team captured the 2025 MAAC Tournament crown as they finished first among eight teams.
Quinnipiac finished with a three-round total of 883 (+19), finishing 13 strokes ahead of the runners-up, UAlbany.
In her first year, Sophia Fujita was the individual champion, carding a three-day total of 217 (+1). Fujita shot a 68 (-4) in the opening round, setting a new MAAC Tournament single-round record.

SPRING SEASON PREVIEW

The Bobcats will compete in five tournaments in the spring portion of their schedule before heading to Lake Buena Vista, Florida, to compete at the 2026 MAAC Championships at the "Happiest Place on Turf".
QU will begin its spring season at the Space Coast Classic hosted by Columbia at the Duran Golf Club (Feb. 21-22).
The Bobcats will return to action at the Low Country Intercollegiate hosted by Wofford at the Golf Club at Indigo Run (Mar. 9-10).
Later in March, Quinnipiac will compete at the Georgia State Invitational in Johns Creek, Georgia (March 30-31).
Quinnipiac will close out its spring slate with a pair of tournaments in the Tri-State area. QU will compete at the St. John's Invitational (Apr. 6-7) and the Rutgers Invitational (Apr. 11-12) as their final tune-ups before the MAAC Championships.
