Quinnipiac erases four-goal deficit in second half, falters in extra session
HAMDEN, Conn. — After erasing a four-goal, second-half deficit, the Quinnipiac women's lacrosse team was not able to get the golden overtime goal, as Iona scored 46 seconds into the extra session to secure a 14-13 victory on Saturday afternoon in Hamden.
The Bobcats scored the last four goals of regulation, including EllaGrace Delmond's game-tying tally with just four seconds left. She finished with six points, scoring four goals and dishing a pair of assists.
Abby Wise added five points, including a hat trick of her own with two assists. Melissa Murphy finished with two ground balls, two caused turnovers and four draw controls.

Quinnipiac plays its final home game of 2023 on Wednesday, taking on Siena at 3 p.m., at the Quinnipiac Lacrosse Stadium.

- Delmond's six points are tied for the second-highest total she's had on the season. She's totaled 23 points over her last five contests.
- Wise increased her points streak to 10 games and she has recorded a goal or assist in all but one game this season. She's totaled 20 points in the last six contests and multi-goal performances in four of her last five outings.
- Kalie Moore tied for the Bobcat lead with three ground balls, her third, multi-ground ball game this season.
- With a pair of each, Melissa Murphy recorded her eighth game this season with multiple ground balls and multiple caused turnovers. She also added four draw controls.
- Sophia Coan added six draw controls, her second-highest total of the season. She has 14 in the last three games.
