Quinnipiac's stretch of five-of-six on road culminates Wednesday
HAMDEN, Conn. — The Quinnipiac women's lacrosse team wraps up its road swing on Wednesday, when they head down to take on league foe Marist at 3 p.m., in Poughkeepsie.
The Bobcats are in search of their first league win of the season, trying to get back to .500 in MAAC play after a comeback bid fell short on Friday afternoon in Buffalo. It is also the last of a three-game road swing.

Teams: Quinnipiac (1-6, 0-1 MAAC) at Marist (2-6, 1-0 MAAC)

LAST TIME OUT
The Bobcats rallied from an 8-3 deficit to cut it as close as two against Canisius but could not get closer as the Golden Griffs took the MAAC opener 10-8 on March 22 in snowy Buffalo, N.Y.
Lindsay Mazzucco made 14 saves for the Bobcats and Angelina Sparacio recorded a hat trick, along with scooping up three ground balls, but it wasn't enough as Quinnipiac dropped its league opener.
IN THE RANKINGS: Quinnipiac
The Bobcats currently sit third in the MAAC and 28th nationally in caused turnovers per game (9.43) and are third in the league and 25th in the country in ground balls per game (17.29). They are also fifth in the MAAC in free-position percentage, converting on .417 percent of opportunities.
Sparacio and EllaGrace Delmond are two of the most efficient in the eight-meter shot, converting on 75 percent and 71.4 percent of opportunities, respectively. Those marks are both good for top 20 nationally and top three in the MAAC. Mazzucco currently stands third in the league in saves per game (8.00), while Melissa Murphy is third in the conference and 12th in the NCAA in caused turnovers per contest (2.14).
THE MATCHUP vs. Marist
The Bobcats have won two in a row in convincing fashion against the Red Foxes, defeating them last season by a 16-7 final in Hamden and knocking them off 19-7 in Poughkeepsie the year before. Overall, Marist has won eight of the 15 matchups in a series that dates back to 1998.
Abby Wise recorded a seven-point day, scoring four goals and dishing three assists, while Mia Delmond also added four goals as the hosts scored six of the first seven and didn't look back.
