Bobcats Open Spring Season With 2nd Place Finish At Atlantic Invitational

LAKE WORTH, Fla. – The Quinnipiac women's golf program finished in second place in the Atlantic Invitational as they wrapped up play on Tuesday, Feb. 13.
Leeyen Peralta was the highest finisher for the Bobcats as she finished in a tie for 7th place (+9). Peralta shot a 75 (+4) in the final 18 holes, to give her a two-day total of 222 (+9).
Aimee Uchida came in a two-way tie for 13th place as she moved up three spots on day two. Uchida shot a 73 (+2) on the final day, tied for the best score in Quinnipiac's group. Uchida finished with a total of 226 (+13) in the Invitational.
Meg Yoshida finished in 15th place as she shot an 80 (+9) on the final day of the tournament. Yoshida finished the two-day event with a total score of 227 (+14). Fuge Zhang came in right behind Yoshida as she tied for 16th place with two other golfers. Zhang shot a 73 (+2) on the day, tying Uchida with the best score of any Bobcat on day two.
Samantha Galantini rounded out the Quinnipiac group in 27th place. Galantini came in with a total of 235 (+22) after she shot a 76 (+5) in the final round of play.
The Bobcats will be back in action on, Monday, March 11th as they start day one of the Butler Don Benbow Spring Invitational in Oldsmar, Florida.
