Peralta Leads The Way After Day One In Oldsmar

OLDSMAR, Fla. – The Quinnipiac women's golf program finished day one of the Don Benbow Butler Spring Invitational in third and fourth place. Quinnipiac's grouping of Leeyen Peralta, Aimee Uchida, Fuge Zhang, Samantha Galantini, and Natalie Spiska shot a combined 309 (+21) to put them in third place after the first 18 holes. Quinnipiac (B) is consisted of Meg Yoshida, Alexia Egdahl, Sandyha Vaikuntam, Riley Carey, and Emily Luu and they finished day one a +28 (316).
Leeyen Peralta sits in first place after she shot par (72) on day one of the invitational. Peralta birdied two of the final three holes to finish her day on par.
Emily Luu sits in a tie for 5th place after the first 18 holes of competition. Luu birdied four holes and finished the day at +4 (76).
Aimee Uchida and Alexia Egdahl finished at a tie for 14th place. They both finished the first 18 holes at a +6 (78). Uchida birdied once and Egdahl shot par on 12 holes.
Meg Yoshida and Samantha Galantini wrapped up the first day shooting a +7 (79) and are in a tie for 19th place.
Fuge Zhang sits in a tie for 30th place (+8) and Riley Carey is tied for 56th place after ending the day at +11 (83).
Natalie Spiska and Sandhya Vaikuntam rounded out the competitors for the Bobcats and they sit in a tie for 78th place after shooting a 86 (+14).
The Bobcats will be back in action on, Tuesday, March 12th as they wrap up play at the Don Benbow Butler Spring Invitational in Oldsmar, Florida.
