Flores Leads Bobcats After 1st Day of Rutgers Invitational

Piscataway, New Jersey – Marisa Flores is leading the Quinnipiac grouping after the first day of the Rutgers Invitational down in Piscataway, New Jersey. Flores finished the first day of the tournament with a two-round total of 150 (+8) as she sits in a six-way tie for fourth place in the field.
Vaidehi Shah sits in a three-way tie for 16th place with a total score of 153 (+11) after the first 36 holes of competition. Shah carded a 77 (+6) in the first round and a 76 (+5) in the second round.
Natalie Spiska is coming off winning the individual crown at the St. John's Invitational and shot a 157 (+15) on the first day of the Rutgers Invitational.
Sandhya Vaikuntam is competing in her fourth tournament of the year and closed out the first day with a total score of 161 (+19). Samantha Galantini finished a stroke behind Vaikuntam with a score of 162 (+20).
Quinnipiac will wrap up competition at the Rutgers Invitational tomorrow, April 12th, with the shotgun start slated for 8:30 AM.

- Vaidehi Shah improved her score by a stroke from round one (77, +6) to round two (76, +5) to close out the first day in New Jersey.
- Natalie Spiska had the second-best round of any Bobcat on the first day, shooting a 74 (+3) in the second round of play.
- Sandhya Vaikuntam improved from round one to round two, as she shot a 79 (+8) in the final round on the opening day.
- Samantha Galantini's best round on the first day came in round two, as she shot a 78 (+7) in the round.
