No 10/9 Bobcats Take First Loss at No. 13 Northeastern

BOSTON, Mass. – No. 10/9 Quinnipiac women's ice hockey dropped its first game of the season, falling 4-2 to No. 13 Northeastern on Friday night.
The huskies opened up the scoring early, finding the back of the net on the power play just under 10 minutes into the game. The Bobcats came right back with a power-play goal of their own, Emerson Jarvis found Tessa Holk for a one-timer to even the score.
The Huskies added one more to take the lead back with just under four to go in the first.
The two teams played a scoreless second period, trading chances back and forth. Northeastern went on to score early in the third period to make it 3-1 Huskies.
Kendall Cooper made it a one-goal game with a shot from the point but Northeastern would hit the empty net to seal the game.
