POMONA, N.Y. – Despite two hits apiece from Sean Swenson and Anthony Donofrio, the Quinnipiac baseball team came up short against No. 2 Rider, 8-0 in the second round of the MAAC Tournament inside Clover Stadium on Thursday afternoon. With the loss, the Bobcats move to the elimination bracket where they will take on either No. 3 Canisius or No. 6 Manhattan on Friday at 3 p.m.

With the loss, the Bobcats fall to 29-25 on the season, snapping the program-best 10 game win streak. Quinnipiac remains one win away from tying the all-time program record for most wins in a single season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Broncs struck first for four runs over the first five innings of play to hold a 4-0 lead over the Bobcats. The deficit proved to be too much for the Bobcats, as they eventually came up short, 8-0.
