Baseball Shuts Out Saint Peter's on Senior Day

HAMDEN, Conn. – The Quinnipiac baseball team won another high scoring game in Hamden, 11-0, over Saint Peter's on Friday afternoon.
With the win, the Bobcats improved to 23-24 overall and 12-8 in the MAAC, while the Peacocks fell to 8-39 and 4-19 in MAAC play on the 2023 season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Anthony Donofrio got the Bobcats going early in bottom of the third, singling through the right side to score Jared Zimbardo from second.
In the sixth inning Quinnipiac added another on a Sebastian Mueller solo homerun to left field.
The Bobcats jumped on the Peacocks in the seventh scoring three runs. It started with Matt Tesoriero reaching on sacrifice bunt to score Braydon Seaburg and Sean Swenson scored on a throwing error on the play. Zimbardo then stepped up and blasted a homer to left center.
In the eighth inning the Bobcats exploded for six runs on six hits. After Kyle Maves walked and stole second, Keegan O'Connor doubled to send him home. Seaburg then singled to score O'Connor. Sean Swenson then roped a ground-rule double, advancing Seaburg to third. Tesoriero poked a sacrifice fly out to score Seaburg. McGwire Tuffy added an RBI, scoring Swenson who had advanced on a wild pitch. Zimbardo then singled to left field, followed by an RBI triple by Anthony Donofrio. To end the scoring, Maves singled up the middle to score Donofrio.
