Pascual's Second Homerun of the Year Not Enough against Rider

LAWRENCEVILE, N.J.—The Quinnipiac softball team fell to the Rider Broncs in game one of their Monday doubleheader. The Bobcats took an early lead in the second and third innings before giving up four runs between the fourth and fifth innings.

Second Inning-
- Mac Davis pinch ran for Lala Pascual which led to M. Davis scoring on a throwing error by the center fielder after she stole third. Putting the Bobcats up by one heading into the third inning.
- Bridget Nasir brought Brooke Hilliard home on a single to left field.
- Rider began their comeback in the fourth, adding one run on a double to center field to cut the Bobcats lead in half.
- A single down the left field line by the Broncs tied the game at two before adding another run on the next at bat, to take a 3-2 lead.
- Rider added one more to the board on a sacrifice flyout to center to bring the runner on third across homeplate.
- The Bobcats cut the Broncs lead by one when Ally Hochstadter scored on a single by Hannah Davis through the left side.
NOTES
- Mary Fogg went 4-2 at the plate.
- Bridget Nasir went 4-2 and recorded an RBI.
- Hannah Davis had an RBI.
- Jackie Gonzalez pitched 4.0 innings, striking out two, with an ERA of 2.

First Inning-
- Nasir recorded her second RBI of the night to bring M. Fogg in to score and give the Bobcats a 1-0 lead after one.
- The Broncs responded in the bottom of the second as a single to center brought a runner in.
- A three-run homerun by Rider's Koonce gave the Broncs a 4-1 lead after the fourth.
- Two Rider doubles in a row gave the Broncs a 5-1 lead.
- Pascual's two-run homer to right field brought the Bobcats within two but it ultimately wasn't enough to take down the Broncs.
NOTES
- Lala Pascual tallied her second homerun of the year.
- Pascual had one run, one hit and two RBIs.
- M. Fogg had one run and two hits, recording her 43rd hit of the year.
- Sydney Horan pitched 4.0 innings, striking out two with an ERA of 3.
