HAMDEN, Conn—The Quinnipiac women's softball team fell to Fairfield at QU Softball Field on Friday, April 7. The Bobcats took the lead in the bottom of the third before giving up three runs and losing by a score of 3-1 in game one. The Bobcats posted five hits in game two against the Stags, but ultimately lost 3-0.

SCORING SUMMARY
Game One
Third Inning-

The Bobcats took the lead after two scoreless innings. The bases were loaded with singles from Brooke Hilliard, Natalia Apatiga and Lala Pascual, Bridget Nasir hit the fourth single of the inning to bring Hilliard home.

Fifth Inning-

Fairfield evened the score at one in the fifth as Quinn McGonigle scored unearned on a sacrifice flyout to right field by Charli Warren.

Seventh Inning-

The Stags won the game in the seventh when Kaitlin Hoffman hit a two-run homer to left field.

NOTES:

Bridget Nasir had a hit and an RBI through three at bats.
Brooke Hilliard went 1-2 with a run and a hit.
Hannah Davis had two hits through three at bats.
Sydney Horan pitched seven innings, striking out five and allowing only six hits.

Game Two
First Inning-

The Stags took the lead early in game two with three runs in the top of the first. Megan Forbes reached on a fielder's choice to put runners on second and third. The next play brought in Hoffman as Anna Paravti grounded out at short.
A single from Haley Updegraff to right gave Forbes and Delaney Whieldon time to cross homeplate and the final score, 3-0 Stags.
