Bobcats Erase Six-Goal Deficit, Fall in Overtime

HAMDEN, Conn. — Down as many as six in the second quarter, the Quinnipiac University women's lacrosse team clawed its way back even on multiple occasions, including an Amy Nicoloff tying goal with 34 seconds left, but visiting Bryant would spoil the day with an game-winning goal 41 seconds into overtime to win 13-12 in Hamden on Saturday afternoon.
Nicoloff started the comeback with 12:14 left in the second after the Bulldogs had claimed their largest lead of the afternoon as Quinnipiac slowly made their way back.
Passing the midway point of the third down 10-6, the Bobcats scored five of the next six, to knot the proceedings at 11.
After the teams traded goals in the final 2:25, Bryant won the opening draw and scored to take the extra-session victory.

- The Bobcats recorded a season-best 21 ground balls, while tying their season high in both shots (35) and shots on goal (26).
- Nicoloff tallied her first collegiate hat trick, besting the two she scored against Wagner on Feb. 15, 2020.
- Melissa Murphy tied her career high with three caused turnovers on the afternoon, last done against Siena on April 13, 2022. She also added four GBs and has nine of those and seven CTs over the last three games.
- Quinnipiac's defense forced seven failed clears, the most this season. They executed 21 of 25 transition clearances.
- They also forced 22 Bryant turnovers, the most by a Bobcat opposition this season.
- Kleberg recorded three points for the second consecutive game. She has eight over her last three appearances.
- Emily Feeney added three points, a new season-high for her and the most since April 9, 2022 when she had four against Manhattan.
