HAMDEN, Conn. – The Quinnipiac baseball team continues MAAC play at home this weekend, as the Bobcats play host to conference foe Marist for a three-game set in Hamden. Friday's contest is set for first pitch at 3 p.m., while Saturday and Sunday's contests will begin at 1 p.m. each day.

LAST TIME OUT

The Quinnipiac baseball team's comeback fell just short, as the Bobcats were edged by URI, 8-7, Tuesday afternoon at the QU Baseball Field
Mcgwire Tuffy led the offense with three RBIs
Anthony Donofrio contributed two hits including a triple and two RBIs
Kyle Maves and Braydon Seaburg added an RBI apiece

He recorded career highs in runs scored (28), doubles (11), triples (2), home runs (6), RBIs (24), and stolen bases (7)
His 50 hits were tied for third on the team last season

O' HE'S HEATING UP

Junior Keegan O'Connor is enjoying a breakout junior campaign
O'Connor is batting .297 on the season which ranks second on the team
O'Connor is tied for second on the team in hits with 22
He boasts two homers and 13 RBIs on the campaign
O'Connor was hot at the opening MAAC series at Rider, batting .750 (9-for-12) with two homers and four RBIs over the three-game stretch

SAINT ANTHONY DONOFRIO

Anthony Donofrio was the lone Quinnipiac player to earn All-MAAC Preseason honors heading into 2023
Donofrio is batting a team-best .320 on the season
He leads the team with 24 hits on the season
Donofrio leads the team with four homers and 19 RBIs
In a 4-0 weekend for the Bobcats at UMES, Donofrio batted .412 with seven hits, including two doubles, two homers, and six RBIs
Donofrio boasted a slugging percentage of .882% and recorded five runs scored in the series sweep over UMES
He tallied at least a hit in each contest, including two in all but one contest.
Last season, Donofrio earned All-MAAC Second Team honors as an outfielder

QU baseball head coach John Delaney announced a new team member, signing six-year-old Cameron Wilson through Team IMPACT in a press conference held in the Mount Carmel Campus Rec Center on Feb. 12, 2022
He will participate in many activities with the baseball team over the next two years, including games, practices, and other team events

The Bobcats will be back in action on Tuesday, April 4, when QU takes on in-state foe CCSU in New Britain 3 p.m
