HAMDEN, Conn. – After opening MAAC play on the road this past weekend, the Bobcats return home for a midweek matchup in Hamden with A-10 foe URI on Tuesday. First pitch from the Quinnipiac Baseball Field is set for 3 p.m.

The Bobcats opened their MAAC slate this past weekend on the road at Rider, falling in the opening two contests, before claiming victory in the series finale, 11-3

He recorded career highs in runs scored (28), doubles (11), triples (2), home runs (6), RBIs (24), and stolen bases (7)
His 50 hits were tied for third on the team last season

O' HE'S HEATING UP

Junior Keegan O'Connor is enjoying a breakout junior campaign
O'Connor is batting .282 on the season which ranks third on the team
O'Connor is tied for second on the team in hits with 20
He boasts two homers and 13 RBIs on the campaign
O'Connor was hot at the opening MAAC series at Rider, batting .750 (9-for-12) with two homers and four RBIs over the three-game stretch

SAINT ANTHONY DONOFRIO

Anthony Donofrio was the lone Quinnipiac player to earn All-MAAC Preseason honors heading into 2023
Donofrio is batting a team-best .314 on the season
He's tied for the team lead with 22 hits
Donofrio leads the team with four homers and 17 RBIs
In a 4-0 weekend for the Bobcats at UMES, Donofrio batted .412 with seven hits, including two doubles, two homers, and six RBIs
Donofrio boasted a slugging percentage of .882% and recorded five runs scored in the series sweep over UMES
He tallied at least a hit in each contest, including two in all but one contest.
Last season, Donofrio earned All-MAAC Second Team honors as an outfielder
Donofrio batted .343 in 2022, boasting a team-best 61 hits while adding 11 doubles, seven homers, two triples, and 25 RBIs
Donofrio was a menace on the basepaths, swiping 15 bags last season

QU baseball head coach John Delaney announced a new team member, signing six-year-old Cameron Wilson through Team IMPACT in a press conference held in the Mount Carmel Campus Rec Center on Feb. 12, 2022
He will participate in many activities with the baseball team over the next two years, including games, practices, and other team events

NEXT TIME OUT

The Bobcats will be back in action on Friday, March 31, when QU takes on MAAC foe Marist at home in Hamden at 3 p.m to continue conference play
