WEST HARTFORD, Conn. – The Quinnipiac baseball team returns to Connecticut for an in-state midweek matchup with familiar foe Hartford on Wednesday. First pitch from Fiondella Field is set for 2 p.m.

Jared Zimbardo returns to Hamden for his junior campaign
Zimbardo is batting .280 and ranks second team lead in hits with 14
He boasts a team-best five doubles on the season
Zimbardo batted a career-best .307 and boasted 50 hits and an on-base percentage of .380 last season
He recorded career highs in runs scored (28), doubles (11), triples (2), home runs (6), RBIs (24), and stolen bases (7)
His 50 hits were tied for third on the team last season

Saint Anthony Donofrio

Anthony Donofrio was the lone Quinnipiac player to earn All-MAAC Preseason honors heading into 2023
Donofrio is batting .313 on the season
He's tied for the team lead with 15 hits on the season
Donofrio leads the team with three homers and 11 RBIs
In a 4-0 weekend for the Bobcats at UMES, Donofrio batted .412 with seven hits, including two doubles, two homers, and six RBIs
Donofrio boasted a slugging percentage of .882% and recorded five runs scored in the series sweep over UMES
He tallied at least a hit in each contest, including two in all but one contest.

He will participate in many activities with the baseball team over the next two years, including games, practices, and other team events
