Nick DiMuccio Makes 21 Saves in Win, Bobcats Move to 2-0
PROVIDENCE, RI – Quinnipiac men's lacrosse downed No. 13 Brown on Saturday afternoon, battling to a 11-10 victory on the road to improve to 2-0.
Nick DiMuccio made 21 saves in the victory for the Bobcats.
Dylan Donnery (3 goals, 1 assist) and Jake Tellers (2 goals, 2 assists) each recorded four points to pace the Bobcats' offensive attack.
Donnery scored with 3:57 remaining to give QU a 10-9 advantage, then Tellers found the back of the cage with 2:55 left to extend the advantage to two goals.
Demitri George won 14-of-23 faceoff attempts, and scooped up nine ground balls.

- Brown led 6-5 at halftime, then QU outscored the Bears 3-2 in both the third and fourth quarter.
- Quinnipiac made it 11-9 with 2:55 to go, then held on to earn the win in Providence.
- Brown outshot QU 48-39.
- Quinnipiac went 12-of-16 in clear attempts, while Brown was a perfect 17-for-17.
- Nick DiMuccio's 21 saves ties a career high. He also made 21 saves against Brown on 2/15/20.
- DiMuccio now ranks third among active NCAA Division 1 leaders in saves (583) and saves per game (13.55).
- DiMuccio ranks second in QU program history in total saves, trailing only TJ Barnett ('04), who made 628 career stops.
- Demitri George won 14-of-23 faceoffs, scooping up nine ground balls. George is seventh among active NCAA leaders in career faceoffs won (551).
- Dylan Donnery led the Bobcats with three goals and one assist. Donnery now has five goals and three helpers through two games this year.
- Jake Tellers added two goals and two assists. He has three goals and four assists for seven points in 2023 – and
- Steven Germain and Trevor Douglas each added one goal and one assist.
- Evan Perry chipped in with two assists, while Justin Robbert, John DeLucia, Trey Gehen and Joey Van De Veerdonk each scored once.
- The Bobcats are back in Hamden next Saturday, Feb. 25, hosting Bryant at the QU Lacrosse Stadium for a 1:00 PM start time.
