Bobcats Fall at Niagara in Three Sets

NIAGARA UNIVERSITY, N.Y. – Quinnipiac women's volleyball came up short on the road at Niagara, as the Bobcats fell against the Purple Eagles in straight sets inside the Gallagher Center on Saturday afternoon.
With the loss, Quinnipiac fell to 13-7 overall on the season and 9-2 in MAAC play, while Niagara improved to 9-10 on the season and 8-3 in conference play.

SET ONE (25-11, Niagara)
The Bobcats fell behind in the set 17-8 and never recovered, as Niagara took the first set 25-11.
SET TWO (25-22)
The two sides exchanged points to a 17-17 tie before Niagara went ahead 19-17, forcing a QU timeout. QU cut it down to 22-21 before Niagara called a timeout. Out of the timeout, Niagara scored three of the next four points to take the set.
SET THREE (25-18)
The two sides traded points to a 6-6 tie before Niagara pulled away at 19-11. The Bobcats never recovered, as Niagara took the set 25-18 and the match 3-0.

The Bobcats will be back in action on Sunday, Oct. 22, when QU travels to take on Canisius on the road at 1 p.m.
