
Sakoda Leads the Field After Two Rounds at BC Intercollegiate

CANTON, Mass. – Quinnipiac women's golf saw two golfers place within the top-five after day one at the Boston College Intercollegiate held at the Blue Hill Country Club in Massachusetts on Monday.
After the first day of competition, Kaylee Sakoda is tied for the lead at 140 (-4), setting a new program record for best two rounds of golf by a QU golfer.
Leeyen Peralta narrowly trails and is tied for third after shooting an even 144.
QU opened the tournament in fifth place among 16 teams after shooting 613 (+37) through the first 36 holes of play. Elon sits in first place with a score of 596 (+20), while Boston College stands in second place with a score of 603 (+27).
Sakoda led Quinnipiac's grouping, tying for first place after the first two rounds of play. Sakoda shot a 71 (-1) and followed with a 69 (-3) to open the tournament at 140 (-4). Peralta is tied for third after shooting back-to-back rounds of 72 (E).
Fuge Zhang tied for 66th after the first 36 holes of play, shooting 165 (+21). Emily Luu, Meg Yoshida and Aimee Uchida rounded out QU's grouping, all tying for 71st after shooting 167 (+23) each.
The Bobcats will be back in action on Tuesday, Sept. 27, when they close play at the Boston College Intercollegiate held at the Blue Hill Country Club in Canton, Mass.
