GAME SUMMARY
- Quinnipiac jumped out to a quick start when Desiree Kleberg scored just 62 seconds into the game.
- After Iona tied the game, the Bobcats put together three straight goals, two by Ellagrace Delmond, to claim a 4-1 lead with 3:47 left in the opening quarter.
- Iona scored once to trim the margin, but Sophie Spencer scored with eight seconds to play and rebuilt the three-goal edge. The goal was a result of a caused turnover by Kleberg who then immediately returned the ball to play and found Spencer in front for the tally.
- Only three goals were scored in the second quarter as Sydney Skalstad and Emily Feeney recorded tallies that bookended a strike by Iona's Alexa Maggiacomo.
- The third quarter also contained only three goals, though the hosts were the team to score twice, tightened the Bobcats lead to 8-5 heading the game's final 15 minutes.
- Sophia Iaccino opened the fourth quarter with her second of the game, only to be answered by Maggiacomo less than a minute later.
- Goals by Feeney and Kalie Moore just 43 seconds apart extended the Quinnipiac lead to 11-6 with 10 minutes to play and a lone Iona goal finished the game's scoring with 9:43 in regulation.
- Henselder's 15 saves are the third-most that the junior has recorded in a game this season. She currently ranks inside the top 30 nationally in saves, saves per game, save percentage, and ground balls per game.
- Kleberg took over the team lead with 28 goals and 36 points on the year, both career highs.
- Keara Patterson's assist made her the ninth Bobcat to tally at least 10 points this season.
- The Bobcats have scored 173 goals this season, the most for any Quinnipiac team since 2013.
- The Bobcats conclude the season with a senior day contest against Monmouth on Saturday, April 23 at 3:00 PM at the Quinnipiac Lacrosse Stadium.
