Bobcats Push Hawks to Brink in 12-10 Defeat
Hamden, CT. – The Quinnipiac women's lacrosse team ended the regular season with a loss to the Monmouth Hawks on Saturday afternoon. Senior Sydney Skalstad tallied two goals, pushing her season total to 29. Junior goalkeeper Kat Henselder made 12 saves for the Bobcats in the defeat.
Desiree Kleberg and Sophia Iaccino each recorded two goals. In total, seven Bobcats recorded goals in the against Monmouth.

- Monmouth opened up the scoring just 37 seconds into the first quarter with a goal from Hope Steuerwald to give the Hawks an early 1-0 lead.
- Just 40 seconds later, Sophia Iaccino answered right back with her first goal of the match to square things up at one.
- Monmouth answered back as Hope Steuerwald tallied her second goal within 1:09 to give the Hawks a 2-1 lead.
- With 11:40 to play in the first quarter, Maddie Deegan capitalized on the free position attempt to even the game at two.
- Monmouth fired back with three goals in less than two minutes to take a 5-2 lead.
- Ellagrace Delmond got the Bobcats back within two with her 23rd goal of the year. The Bobcats were trailing by two with 6:10 left in the opening quarter.
