Bobcats Score Late, Fall by One
Hamden, Conn. – The Quinnipiac women's lacrosse team dropped their conference matchup with the Niagara Purple Eagles, 9-8, on Saturday afternoon. Junior Desiree Kleberg tallied two more goals, pushing her season total to 19. Junior goalkeeper Kat Henselder made 7 saves for the Bobcats in the defeat.
First-year attack, Angelina Sparacio tallied her first two goals of the year. In total, four Bobcats found the back of the net in the loss to the Purple Eagles.

- Lexi Braniecki of Niagara opened up the scoring just 1:46 into this game, giving Niagara the early one goal lead.
- Niagara tallied another goal with 8:58 to go in the first quarter when Lois Garlow fired one past Henselder.
- The Purple Eagles held a 2-0 lead after the first 15 minutes.
- Garlow scored her second goal of the game 50 seconds into the second quarter to push Niagara's lead to three.
- With 12:31 left on the clock in the first half, Desiree Kleberg ripped one home to open up the scoring for the Bobcats. The Purple Eagles still had the lead, 3-1.
- Niagara answered right back, pushing their lead to 4-1 with just under nine minutes left in the first half.
- Quinnipiac fired right back with a goal from Maddie Deegan, her 13th of the season, to bring the lead right back down to two.
- Exactly a minute later, Sophie Spencer ripped one into the twine to make it a one goal game.
- The Purple Eagles entered halftime with a 4-3 lead.
- Niagara opened up the scoring early again in the third quarter when Rachel Crane found the back of the net 1:25 into the third frame.
