Bobcats Take Down CCSU, 10-7

Bridget Nasir and Serena Fogg tallied their first home runs of the season to lead the Bobcats. Fogg and Gianna Palmisano led the team with seven RBIs combined.
Quinnipiac moves to 5-14 on the season, and CCSU is now 3-24.
Highlights vs CCSU:
First Inning - The Bobcats took an early 3-0 lead in the first inning after Gianna Palmisano hit a triple with the bases loaded, allowing Kayla Thomas, Taylor Walton and Lala Pascual to score.
Fourth Inning - Quinnipiac took a 4-3 lead in the fourth inning with a home run by Bridget Nasir.
Sixth Inning - With Palmisano on base, Serena Fogg hit a two-RBI homer, giving the Bobcats a 6-4 lead.
Seventh Inning - The Bobcats had a massive four-run inning to give the team a 10-7 lead. Thomas got the inning started with a single to center field. Alyssa Noce came in to pinch run for Thomas. Pascual later hit a single of her own. Walton stepped up and hit a double, recording an RBI and giving Noce the chance to score. Pascual then scored off a sacrifice ground out recorded by Palmisano. Fogg then tallied a single to center field, allowing Walton to score. Julia Woeste came up in the order and sent a double to right field, and Fogg scored, taking the score to 10-7.
The Bobcats would hold on to win 10-7 on the road, tallying the team's fifth win this season.
Notable Stats:
- Walton went 3-4 with two runs and one RBI.
- Palmisano went 2-3 with one run and four RBIs, including a triple.
- Fogg notched three RBIs of her own with two runs, going 2-4.
- In the circle, Sydney Horan put in six innings of work with two strikeouts. Zali Adamns came into the game in the sixth inning for relief and pitched one complete inning to seal the victory.
- The Bobcats recorded a season-high 10 runs, 10 RBIs, 14 hits and two home runs against the Blue Devils.
Quinnipiac will begin MAAC play this weekend on the road at Canisius and Niagara.
