Bobcats' Senior Records 6 Points in Comeback Win During Season Opener

EDISON, NJ – Quinnipiac men's lacrosse senior Will Abbott has been named MAAC Men's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday, Feb. 14.

Abbott recorded six total points (four goals, two assists) in the Bobcats' season-opening win on Saturday, Feb. 12 at UMass Lowell. He scored three goals during the third quarter in Quinnipiac's comeback.

The senior's six points lead all MAAC players through the first weekend of the collegiate lacrosse season. Abbott ranks tied for No. 9 nationally in points (6) and goals (4).

Abbott now has 40 goals and 30 assists during his Quinnipiac career (2019 – current). He tallied 14 points in six games last year for the Bobcats.

The Bobcats are back on Wednesday, Feb. 19, traveling to LIU to continue the non-league schedule.
