FULL RELEASE: Bloomfield's Rashawn Dally Signs with Hartford Athletic
HARTFORD, CONN. – Former Quinnipiac men's soccer standout Rashawn Dally ('19) is returning to Connecticut.
The Bloomfield-native has signed with Hartford Athletic ahead of the 2022 season, as announced by the program on Thursday, Jan. 13.
"Growing up in Connecticut, I was fortunate to get the opportunity to play soccer at a high level," Dally said, via hartfordathletic.com. "I want to give that back to the next generation of kids who have the same dream I had."
Dally – who was drafted with the first pick of the third round in the MLS SuperDraft by FC Cincinnati on Jan. 14, 2019 – is the second player in program history to appear in an MLS contest. Former Quinnipiac men's soccer standout Freddy Hall played in six games for Toronto FC in 2012.
He played in 16 total matches for FC Cincinnati, scoring his first career goal in July of 2019.
Dally recorded 16 points and 15 assists in his career with the Bobcats, playing in 78 career games - which ranks tied for No. 5 in program history. He tallied six goals and six assists in 2018 to finish second on the team in total scoring (18 points). Dally recorded 15 points (five goals, five assists) in MAAC play.
He was a two-time United Soccer Coaches All-East Region Third-Team honoree (2016, 2018), and a three-time All-MAAC performer (2018 first team; 2016, 2017 second team).
Hartford Athletic will begin its 2022 season on March 19, traveling to Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC.
