Baseball Sets Dates for Fall Clinic and Open Tryouts

Bobcats to Host Prospect Clinic and Open Tryout Session
CLINIC REGISTRATION
HAMDEN, Conn. – The Quinnipiac baseball team has announced dates for a open tryout and a Fall Prospect Clinic, which is now open for registration.
The Fall Prospect Clinic is scheduled for October 17 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and offers the opportunity for high school prospective student-athletes to showcase their ability in front of the Quinnipiac baseball staff along with gaining hands on instruction from a coaching staff with multiple years of college and professional experience. Every player is going to be able to showcase their abilities to their full potential and at multiple positions if they so choose. If a primary position player wants to throw a bullpen session, an additional fee will be incured and the same applies to a primary pitcher that would like to showcase as a positional player. While the showcase portion gives our staff an look into a players skill set, we value the 1 on 1 interaction with each player and aim to provide knowledge and insight on the game of baseball that can help elevate their game to the next level.
It is open to all high school students in grades 9-12 and will take place on the Quinnipiac Baseball Field. The current format of the camp will include ALL positions players to arrive by 8:30 for registration with clinic showcase starting at 9am sharp, following the showcase we will host a game. Pitcher ONLY participants will arrive by 10:30am with their clinic begining by 11am to prepare for a game at 12:30pm. Two way participants will need to arrive at 8:30 to participate in the showcase.
Prospects are expected to wear normal baseball gameday apparel and showcase shirts will provided on the day of the clinic. Athletes are encouraged to bring sneakers or turfs in case the clinic is pushed indoors for batting practice or bullpens.
On September 22, the team will host an open tryout at the Quinnipiac Baseball Field. All students who wish to tryout must be on time for the 3 p.m. start.
