Kaylee Sakoda and Elena Ybarra Top Leaderboard With +4 Rounds

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The Quinnipiac women's golf team bested the Fairfield Stags by 11 strokes to take first place in a match between the two schools. The Bobcats finished with a team score of +23 and the Stags finished with a team score of +34.

Kaylee Sakoda and Elena Ybarra tied for the best score of the day with a four over, 76.

SCORES AND NOTES

Sakoda's +4 round is the best round of her 2021 season so far, topping her previous best of +6 at the Hartford/Wintonbury Invitational.
Ybarra shot the second-best round of her season on Wednesday, coming in right behind her +1 round at the Hartford/Blackledge Invitational.
Darby Lillibridge bested her previous 2021 best round by one stroke as she finished with an seven over, 79, good enough for fourth place.
Mia Grzywinski was placed in the official five-golfer lineup for the second time in her Bobcat career against Fairfield. She shot a career best eight over, 80, which tied her for fifth in the match.
Competing as an individual golfer, Amanda Tully shot a 13 over, finishing in ninth position.
