5 Bobcats Earn All-MAAC Status

George Named FO Specialist of the Year, D. Donnery Captures Rookie of the Year
EDISON, N.J. – 5 Quinnipiac men's lacrosse student-athletes earned All-MAAC awards for the spring 2021 season, as announced by the league office on Wednesday, April 28.
The Bobcats captured two of the major awards – as Demitri George was named Face-Off Specialist of the Year and Dylan Donnery captured Rookie of the Year honors.
Demitri George was named to the All-MAAC First Team, Jake Tellers earned All-MAAC Second Team status, and Dylan Donnery, Steven Germain and Evan Perry were named to the All-Rookie squad.
George was impressive in the face-off x for the Bobcats all season, winning 115-of-155 battles (74.2%) – which ranks No. 4 nationally. He won 14 of 15 face-off battles vs. Siena (4/7), then 27-of-30 attempts against Manhattan (4/10). He picked up a team-best 63 ground balls for the season, ranking No. 5 nationally in ground balls per game (9.00). George also added three goals, scoring once on April 7 vs. Siena and twice on April 10 against Manhattan. He led the MAAC in face-off percentage and ground balls.

Dylan Donnery – the MAAC Rookie of the Year – led the Bobcats in scoring during 2021. He scored 13 goals to go along with two assists for 15 total points. The first-year attack scored at least one goal in all seven games this season, scoring nine times in Quinnipiac's final three contests. Donnery scored three times at home vs. Manhattan (4/10), then tallied five scores in Hamden against Canisius (4/17).

Sophomore Jake Tellers earned All-MAAC Second Team status, registering nine goals and one helper for 10 total points (fourth on the team). Tellers scored in four of Quinnipiac's seven games, including a season-best effort of four goals against Canisius (4/17). He had three multi-goal games.
Steven Germain and Evan Perry joined Donnery on the All-Rookie Team for the Bobcats. Germain recorded four goals to go along with seven assists for 11 total points, earning four multi-point games. Perry had five goals and two assists for seven points, scoring a goal in four matchups.
Quinnipiac also placed 19 student-athletes on the MAAC All-Academic Team (see below):
Following a four-win spring in league play, Quinnipiac men's lacrosse earned the title of MAAC Regular Season Co-Champions. The Bobcats finished the spring campaign with a 4-2 league record, winning three straight home games at the QU Lacrosse Stadium in Hamden from April 7-17. QU defeated St. Bonaventure on the road on March 27, then downed Siena, Manhattan and Canisius in MAAC play in Hamden during the month of April.
