
Szawlowski Records 100th Career Point in Loss at Siena

LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. – The Quinnipiac women's lacrosse team dropped a high scoring affair to the Siena Saints, 19-17, on Friday afternoon. Megan Szawlowski recorded a career-high seven points in the game. The graduate student's third goal of the game was her 100th career point in a Quinnipiac uniform.
Three other Bobcats recorded hat tricks in the game as Desiree Kleberg, Emily Feeney and Maddie Deegan each scored three goals in the loss. Kleberg added an assist for a four point performance. Feeney's three goals is a new career high.
Goalkeeper Kat Henselder recorded her sixth consecutive games of double-digit saves as she stopped 14 shots between the pipes for the Bobcats.
Sophomore midfielder Sophia Iaccino scored two goals, matched her career high with five ground balls and recorded five draw controls.

GAME SUMMARY
- After Siena scored the first goal of the game, Maddie Deegan tied the game up at one.
- The Saints scored the next two goals to take a 3-1 lead, but Szawlowski found the back of the net to cut the Siena lead to one.
- The two teams traded the next two goals, and then the next two goals were scored by Siena as it took a 6-3 lead.
- Szawlowski scored her second of the day to cut the Saints lead to 6-4.
- Siena scored three straight goals to take its largest lead of the first half, 9-4.
- Quinnipiac then scored four of the final six goals heading into halftime as Siena led 11-8 going into the break.
- Coming out of halftime, the Saints scored the first goal of the second half, but the Bobcats rattled off three straight to cut the Siena lead to 12-11.
- The teams traded the next two goals, but Siena scored four straight to take an 18-13 lead.
- Three consecutive goal from Quinnipiac made it a two-goal game, 18-16.

- Deegan has scored a goal in every game this season for the Bobcats. This is her third game of three-plus goals in 2021. The junior midfielder has scored 16 goals this season, which is one off her career high, which she recorded in her first season in Hamden.
- This is the third game this season that Iaccino has picked up five ground balls in a game. She now has 25 on the year. Her five draw controls gives her 50 on the season. Both marks lead the team.
- Henselder's 14 saves is her sixth consecutive game of making double-digit saves. It is her fourth consecutive game of stopping at least 14 shots. The sophomore goalkeeper came into the game with the fourth highest total of saves per game with 11.57. She upped that total against Siena, averaging 11.88 saves per game.
- The Bobcats return home as they host Manhattan on Friday, April 9. Game time is scheduled for 3 p.m.
