Quinnipiac's Spring Slate Features Visit to Defending National Champion Virginia

HAMDEN, Conn. – Quinnipiac men's lacrosse has revealed its 13-game schedule for the upcoming spring 2022 season, as announced by Head Coach Mason Poli and the program on Monday, Dec. 20, 2021.
Quinnipiac's 2022 slate features three home contests: March 26 vs. Monmouth, April 2 vs. Marist, and April 23 vs. St. Bonaventure.
The team's non-conference schedule is highlighted by a trip to defending national champion Virginia on April 16, and a short drive to Yale on April 26. Virginia and Yale have both been recognized as preseason Top 10 selections in the Inside Lacrosse and USA Lacrosse Magazine preseason polls.
The Bobcats will open up the new campaign on Feb. 12 at UMass Lowell. QU has six straight road matchups before returning to the QU Lacrosse Stadium in Hamden for its home opener.
Quinnipiac will begin MAAC play on March 19 at Manhattan – followed by a pair of home games on March 26 and April 2. QU will then hit the road to travel to Canisius on April 9, before gearing up to head south to square off with nationally-ranked Virginia.
The Bobcats' final home match of the regular season is slated for April 23 against St. Bonaventure. QU will then travel to Yale (April 26) and Siena (April 30) to finish the schedule.
Following a four-win spring in league play, Quinnipiac men's lacrosse earned the title of MAAC Regular Season Co-Champions in 2021. The Bobcats finished the spring campaign with a 4-2 league record, winning three straight home games at the QU Lacrosse Stadium in Hamden from April 7-17. QU defeated St. Bonaventure on the road on March 27, then downed Siena, Manhattan and Canisius in MAAC play in Hamden during the month of April.
