DeVito Leads Way With 3 Goals

Brookville, N.Y. – Quinnipiac men's lacrosse dropped a non-conference contest by the final score of 13-9 on Saturday afternoon at Long Island University.

Tyler DeVito and Tyler Mackay both recorded a season-best three points. DeVito had three goals for the Bobcats in the loss, while Mackay added two scores and an assist.

NOTES

Total shots were 45-39 in favor of the Bobcats, and QU held a 25-19 advantage in shots on goal.
Quinnipiac was a perfect 15-15 in clear attempts. The Bobcats are now 90-112 (80.4 percent) in clear tried this year.
First Year Jake Tellers chipped in with two goals, extending his season score total to eight.
Jake Tomsik added one goal and one helper, as the junior now has 11 goals and six assists for 17 points in 2020. Tomsik has scored in all six games for the Bobcats.
Sophomore Will Abbott had two assists, good for his fourth multi-point contest of the season. Abbott now has 11 goals and five assists for 16 points.
Matt Miller scored a goal. He has scored once in five of six contests this season.
Sophomore Demitri George won 8-of-12 faceoff attempts, adding one assist on the day.
Nick DiMuccio made six more saves. He has 79 stops over six games.
The Bobcats outscored LIU 3-1 in the fourth quarter, as their comeback bid fell just short at BethPage Federal Credit Union Stadium.
Quinnipiac has now recorded 40+ shots in three games.

UP NEXT

The Bobcats return to play on Saturday, Mar. 14, traveling to Marist to begin MAAC play.
QU's first home game of the season will take place on Saturday, March 21, as the Bobcats play host to Siena at 3:00 p.m. from the QU Lacrosse Stadium in Hamden.
