Sophomore Made Career-High 21 Saves Saturday at Brown
HAMDEN, Conn. – Quinnipiac men's lacrosse sophomore Nick DiMuccio has been named MAAC Men's Lacrosse Co-Defensive Player of the Week, as announced by the league on Monday, Feb. 17.
The goalie made a career-high 21 saves in Saturday's non-conference contest at Brown. He now has 47 saves in three Bobcats' games this season, ranking No. 6 nationally in saves per contest (15.67). DiMuccio's 21 saves are tied for the most in a Division I game so far this year, as Parker Green of High Point also made 21 stops earlier this year.
DiMuccio finished the 2019 season with 13.88 stops per match, which finished No. 4 nationally. The weekly award is the Bobcats' first of the 2020 season.
Quinnipiac men's lacrosse returns to play this weekend, traveling to Vermont on Saturday, Feb. 22 for a 12:00 p.m. contest.
