Baseball Drops Final Game of Three-Game Series in San Antonio, 13-3
Quinnipiac put up a fight early, pulling within a run to cut into UTSA's early 3-0 lead after the first inning but the Roadrunners bats could not be silenced as they scored 10 runs in the first three innings.
Bender scored on a sacrifice fly before Dylan Lutz (Denver, Colorado) scored on an errant throw back to the pitcher in the second but the Bobcats could not put another run across until Bender's RBI single scored Andre Marrero (West Springfield, Massachusetts) in the sixth inning.
Dakota Herman (Oxnard, California) provided two scoreless innings of relief in his Quinnipiac debut but the Bobcats could no capitalize before three unearned runs scored in the bottom of the sixth for the Roadrunners.
