Bobcats Rebound for Dominant Victory in Game Two
NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – Chris Enns (Canton, Connecticut) picked up his fifth win of the 2019 season with a game two victory as the Quinnipiac baseball team split a doubleheader at the Iona Gaels Saturday at City Park.
After falling in the first game, 3-2, the Bobcats rebounded with nine runs in the fifth and sixth innings take a 10-2 lead and pick up the victory in the second game of the doubleheader.
Enns is now tied for the team lead with five wins on the season and eclipsed the 60-strikeout mark as the Bobcats earned the split after rebounding from the game one loss.

FIFTH INNING
- Moskey doubled to left centerfield with one out in the inning and moved up to third on a groundout.
- After four straight foul balls, Kevin Huscher (Middleboro, Massachusetts) singled up the middle to score Moskey for the early lead.
- Kyle Maves (Burlington, Ontario) led off the inning with a walk and moved up to third on a single through the left side from Andre Marrero (West Springfield, Massachusetts).
- After Marrero stole second and one out, Evan Vulgamore (Bow, New Hampshire) brought home Maves with a sacrifice fly to tie the game, 2-2.

THIRD INNING
- Huscher doubled to left field and moved up to third on an infield single from Moskey to put runners on the corners with one out in the inning.
- Marrero followed with a fly ball to left field that scored Huscher that tied the game, 1-1.
- The Bobcats started the inning with three runs as Huscher walked with one out and moved up to second on a single from Marrero with two outs in the innings.
- With runners on the corners, Ostberg singled to centerfield to score Huscher and the Bobcats had two runners in scoring position after a stolen base from Ostberg.
- Vulgamore walked to load the bases before Bender singled up the middle to score both Ostberg and Marrero to take a 4-1 lead.
- Liam Scafariello (Southington, Connecticut) led off the inning with a hit by pitch and moved up to second on a singled from Lutz.
- Huscher walked to load the bases before Marrero reached on an infield single to score Scafariello and make it 5-1 Bobcats.
- Ostberg followed with a single down the left field line to score Lutz before Vulgamore singled to right field to score a pair of runners and take an 8-1 lead.
- After Vulgamore stole second, Bender reached on an error to score Ostberg and Vulgamore scored on a sacrifice fly to right field to make it 10-1 Bobcats.
- Ostberg led the Bobcats with a trio of hits in the second game of the doubleheader while Huscher came around to score a trio of runs.
- Marrero went 2 for 3 with two RBIs and two runs scored while Bender had a team-high three RBIs in the second game of the doubleheader.
- Despite just one hit, Huscher came around to score three runs.
- In the doubleheader, Moskey recorded a double and is now tied with Wilson Matos '07 and Ben Farina '11 for fourth all-time with 45 career doubles.
- Moskey also passed Farina for 10th on the all-time hit list and is just one hit shy of the 200th in his career.
- Marrero had two runs and two RBIs and now is one run scored shy of a career-high this season.
- Enns recorded six strikeouts to improve to 5-4 on the season as he scattered four hits and two unearned runs over seven innings.
- Enns has now made three straight starts of at least seven innings and lowered his ERA to 3.51 with in the win Saturday
- Quinnipiac and Iona wrap up their three-game series Sunday at City Park with first pitch set for 12 p.m. Sunday's probable starters are Arthur Correira (3-3, 4.27 ERA) vs. Hunter Sibley (2-6, 4.40 ERA)
