DiMuccio Makes Career-High 19 Saves
NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Quinnipiac men's lacrosse dropped its final non-conference contest of the season, 24-8, vs. No. 4/5 Yale on Tuesday evening at Reese Stadium. With the loss vs. the defending national champion, the Bobcats fall to 7-6 so far this year.
Senior Mike Fletcher led the way for the Bobcats, scoring four times to raise his season goal total to 23.
Freshman goalkeeper Nick DiMuccio turned in another double-digit save performance, recording a career-high 19 total stops. DiMuccio currently ranks No. 5 nationally in saves per game.

HIGHLIGHTS
- Freshman Demitri George helped the Bobcats get on the board for the first time, winning a face-off and taking it the length of the field himself. George fired one in to the back of the cage with 4:05 left in the first quarter, making it 5-1 Yale.
- Quinnipiac scored three more times in the second quarter, as Tyler DeVito, Mike Fletcher and Matt Frost all found the back of the cage to cut into the deficit. Foster Cuomo assisted on two second-quarter goals.
- Fletcher scored three more times in the third quarter for Quinnipiac, and freshman Will Abbott netted the Bobcats' lone goal in the final stanza.
- Total shots were 63-28 in favor of Yale, who outshot Quinnipiac 43-19 on goal.
- Quinnipiac was 15 of 22 in clear attempts, and scooped up 21 total ground balls.
- With four more goals in the loss, Mike Fletcher now has 52 career scores.
- Nick DiMuccio has seven games of 15+ saves, making 189 stops in 13 contests. His 189 single-season saves rank No. 4 all-time in program history, as the freshman needs seven more saves to surpass Gill Connors ('13) for the No. 3 spot.
- Foster Cuomo added a team-high two assists, raising his career point total to 139.
- Demitri George's goal is his first career score. The first-year midfielder earned six victories in the face-off x on the night.
- Matt Frost now has four goals and six points this season.
- Tyler DeVito's goal is his sixth of the season.
- Will Abbott now has 15 goals – which ranks No. 4 on the team.
- Quinnipiac is back in action on Saturday, April 27, traveling to MAAC foe Manhattan for the final game of the 2019 regular season at 3:00 p.m.
