Bobcats Move to 4-2 in MAAC with Senior Day Victory
HAMDEN, Conn. – Seniors Foster Cuomo and Mike Fletcher combined to score all 10 Bobcat goals on Saturday afternoon, leading Quinnipiac men's lacrosse past Monmouth, 10-9, on Senior Day.
With the win, the Bobcats move to 7-5 (4-2 MAAC) so far in 2019 with just two games left in the regular season. The Bobcats scored four unanswered goals to begin the game, then never relinquished the lead.
Cuomo paced Quinnipiac with six goals, while Fletcher added four goals and two assists.

HIGHLIGHTS
- The Bobcats scored four unanswered goals to begin the game, then never relinquished the lead. Foster Cuomo scored the game's first three goals in 8:04, helping Quinnipiac take a 5-4 lead in to the second half.
- Both teams scored five times in the second half of the back-and-forth contest. Foster Cuomo scored three more times in the second half, while Mike Fletcher added two scores.
- Total shots were 40-29 in favor of Monmouth, including a 23-15 advantage in shots on the cage.
- The Bobcats were 18-of-18 in clear attempts, and won 12 of 22 face-off attempts.
- With six goals in the win, Foster Cuomo now has 24 goals and 32 points in seven games. Cuomo has 93 goals and 137 points in 48 career games. Cuomo is just one goal shy of tying Ryan Keenan ('16) for No. 5 on the Bobcats' all-time scoring list. He also. ranks No. 6 all-time in career points.
- Mike Fletcher raises his season point total to 28, giving him 74 career points in 35 contests.
- Freshman Nick DiMuccio made 14 more saves, his 11th contest of the season with 10+ stops.
- Tyler Liotta won 10-of-16 attempts in the face-off x, giving him 70 wins so far this season. Liotta has now won 57.9 percent of his face-off attempts in 2019.
- Jake Tomsik and Matt Frost each chipped in with an assist in the win. With the helper, Tomsik raises his team-high total to 47.
- Quinnipiac is back in action on Tuesday, April 23, making the short trip to New Haven to square off with No. 4 Yale in non-conference action.
