Bobcats Earn Second-Straight Road Win

STATEN ISLAND, NY – Jake Tomsik led the way with six points, Brett DiSalvo recorded the game-winner less than two minutes into overtime and Quinnipiac men's lacrosse earned its second-straight win on Saturday afternoon, topping Wagner 7-6 at Hameline Field.

With the win, the Bobcats move to 2-3 this season heading in to next Saturday's home opener.

HIGHLIGHTS

Jake Tomsik and Matt Miller both scored a goal in the first quarter of play, helping the Bobcats take a 2-0 lead in to the second.
Wagner scored twice in the last five minutes of regulation to force overtime, then Brett DiSalvo netted the game-winner 1:12 in to the extra period.
DiSalvo's goal is his fourth of the season. He now has five points in 2018-19.
Jake Tomsik had three goals and three assists in total, giving him a team-high 23 points so far over just five contests.
Freshman goalkeeper Nick DiMuccio had another solid day in front of the cage, recording 10 saves in the win. DiMuccio made multiple stops in the final moments of the contest, helping the Bobcats force overtime.

NOTES

Total shots were 35-33 in favor of Quinnipiac, while shots on goal were even 16-16.
The Bobcats went 20-20 in clears, while Wagner went 18-of-23.
Quinnipiac won 10 of 17 faceoffs, and picked up 22 ground balls in the victory.
