Softball Announces Schedule Change, Travels to Boston College Tuesday

HAMDEN, Conn. - The Quinnipiac softball team has announced a schedule change for the week of March 18. The Bobcats' doubleheader originally scheduled for Wednesday, March 20 against Central Connecticut State University will now be played at CCSU. The game times will remain same (2 p.m. and 4 p.m.) and will be played at the CCSU Softball Field in New Britain, Conn.
Quinnipiac vs Boston College
Before Quinnipiac takes on CCSU, the Bobcats will face off against the Boston College Eagles on Tuesday in Chestnut Hill, Mass. Quinnipiac and Boston College will play a single game at the Harrington Athletics Village at 5 p.m.
Scouting the Eagles
Boston College is 7-14 overall after dropping three games against the North Carolina Tar Heels in the first ACC series of the season. The Eagles' last win came against Florida Internation on March 7 when they won 3-2. Lexi DiEmmanuele leads the team with a .378 BA and has recorded 25 hits, 11 runs, two doubles, two triples, one homerun and seven RBI. Susannah Anderson has pitched 70 innings for the Eagles, recording a 4.11 ERA in the circle.
Scouting the Blue Devils
CCSU is 6-9 overall after going 1-3 against Hartford. Sydney Bolan leads the Blue Devils with a .383 BA with nine runs, 18 hits, two doubles and five homeruns. Carley Stoker and Ashley Antonazzo have both recorded a 3-3 average with a 4.02 and 3.31 ERA, respectively.
Last Time Out
The Bobcat (4-14) wrapped up the spring break trip to Clearwater, Fla., with a loss against Columbia, 8-6. The Bobcats went 1-7 from March 12-17. Sophomore Kayla Jensen currently leads the squad with a .397 BA with 10 runs, 25 hits, four doubles, one homerun and five RBI. Freshman Lauren King leads the Bobcats with a 3-2 record through 43.2 innings pitched.
