Kuhn Scores Four Goals in Loss to Fresno State

FRESNO, Calif. – Despite holding Fresno State to just one goal in the second half, the Quinnipiac women's lacrosse team dropped Sunday's non-conference finale by a score of 13-7.

HIGHLIGHTS

Offensively, senior Allison Kuhn led the Bobcats once again with four of the team's seven goals in the loss. The four goals runs her season total to 24 goals and her career total to 104 goals, which moves her into sixth all-time at Quinnipiac in career goals and tenth in career points.
Junior Megan Szawlowski assisted on three Quinnipiac goals, giving the Central Connecticut State transfer 25 points in her first 7 games as a Bobcat.
Maddie Deegan scored once and added an assist on the afternoon. The freshman has now scored in back-to-back games and has eight points on the season.
Junior Brianna Fitzgerald and sophomore Shannon Savage also tallied a goal apiece, giving Savage three goals in her last two appearances.
Freshman Sophie Spencer put four shots on goal, while picking up a ground ball, causing one turnover, and winning two draw controls.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE

Both teams attempted 27 shots, while the Bobcats put 21 on goal and only allowed 17 on target by the Bulldogs.
Fresno State won 14 of 22 draw controls in the game, while the Bobcats won the ground ball battle, 20-17.

NEXT UP

The Bobcats begin Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference play against Marist on Saturday, March 23 in Poughkeepsie, New York. The first game of league competition will begin at 1:00 p.m.
