Kuhn Scores Five Goals in Season Opening Win
DELAND, Fla. – Quinnipiac and Stetson battled in a back-and-forth women's lacrosse battle, ultimately resulting in a 14-13 double overtime win for the Bobcats in the 2019 season opener on Sunday afternoon at Stetson Athletic Training Center.
Senior Allison Kuhn tied a career-high with five goals including the game-winning tally in the second overtime period.

HIGHLIGHTS
- Graduate student goalkeeper Sami Walters entered in the second half and made a career-high nine saves on the afternoon.
- Megan Szawlowski earned a hat trick in her Quinnipiac debut. The junior transfer took six shots and won three draw controls.
- Kuhn took ten shots in the win, placing nine on target. She also added two draw controls and a ground ball.
- Junior Ashley Bobinski scored two goals and chipped in an assist, while her sister Victoria added a goal as well.
- Junior Amy Hauser tallied a goal and two assists, including the assist on the game-winning goal in double overtime.
- Freshmen Sophie Spencer and Maddie Deegan both scored in their collegiate debuts.
- Senior Aubrey Conti and junior Kayla Moreau added an assist each in the win.
- The Bobcats scored three straight goals in the middle of the second half to take the only two-goal lead of the game with 9:34 left in regulation.
- Quinnipiac held a 31-30 shots advantage, but Stetson edged out a 26-24 differential in shots on goal.
- The Hatters won 16 of 30 draw controls.
- Quinnipiac picked up 24 ground balls, and went 18-26 in clears.
- Kuhn moved into 15th on the Bobcats' all-time scoring list with her six point performance. The senior has 115 career points thus far.
- Quinnipiac returns home to Hamden for the 2019 home opener on Saturday, Feb. 16 when the Brown Bears come to town for a noon contest.
