HIGHLIGHTS
- Brown opened the game with three straight goals, jumping out to an early lead in the first ten minutes of play.
- Megan Szawlowski broke through for the Bobcats with a man-up goal with 22:58 on the clock but Brown scored exactly a minute later to regain their lead.
- Szawlowski scored again just two minutes after that, this time while a man-down, to pull the Bobcats within two goals. However, it would be the closest they would get for the remainder of the game.
- Brown scored four goals in a four-minute span to open up an 8-2 lead. The Bobcats wouldn't go quietly, scoring three of the last four goals in the half. The mini-run sent the Bobcats into the break within four goals, 8-4.
- Allison Kuhn got the visitors within three in the early moments of the second and scored three more goals in the half, but Brown was able to answer each Bobcats tally and eventually close the game on a 5-2 run over the final 20 minutes.
- Brown held a 37-17 shots advantage and earned a 24-14 differential in shots on goal.
- The Bobcats caused 12 Brown turnovers
- Quinnipiac picked up 20 ground balls, barely edged by Brown's 22.
- Kuhn's five goals give her 90 for her career, which moves the senior into tenth on Quinnipiac's all-time goals list.
- Playing in her home state, junior goalkeeper Allie Kelsey made eight saves in the effort, three shy of her career-best. She added eight ground balls and five caused turnovers, one ground ball short of tying Quinnipiac's program record.
- Freshman Gabby Beckett tallied her first career points, picking up a goal and an assist in just the second game of her career.
- Junior Brianna Fitzgerald scored her first goal of the season and senior Amy Hauser earned her third assist in two games so far this season.
- Quinnipiac remains on the road, but in Connecticut, on Wednesday when the Bobcats head to New Haven to take on Yale at 5:00 p.m.
