Phillips named Co-Rookie of the Year, Scott & Mingachos named to All-Rookie Team
EDISON, New Jersey – The Quinnipiac women's soccer team saw three players receive All-MAAC honors on Monday, as announced by the league. Meaghan Phillips was named Co-Rookie of the Year, along with Fairfield's Josie Horosky. Olivia Scott, Kayla Mingachos and Phillips were named to the MAAC All-Rookie Team.
Phillips is the sixth Bobcat in program history to win the Rookie of the Year honor. Scott and Mingachos earn their first-career MAAC Awards.

Meaghan Phillips | First-Year | Keeper | Co-Rookie of the Year | MAAC All-Rookie Team
Phillips earned the starting position between the posts for the Bobcats as a rookie and has delivered one of the best first-year campaigns in program history. Her five shutouts rank fourth overall in the MAAC and tie for the third-best single season shutout record in program history. Phillips has recorded a 0.88 goals against average, which is the second-best in the MAAC behind Monmouth this season and fifth-best in a single season for the program. Her .814 save percentage is ranked the third-best in the MAAC. Phillips has tallied 57 saves this season, averaging 3.80 per game. She has played and started in 16 games this season and made a season-high eight saves against Monmouth on Oct. 5. The Aurora, Ontario native was named the 2019 Co-Rookie of the Year, alongside Fairfield's Josie Horosky, and she was named to the All-Rookie team.
Olivia Scott | First-Year | Center Midfield | MAAC All-Rookie Team
Scott has been an integral part of the Bobcats' center midfield position all season. She has recorded 10 points on three goals and four assists. Scott earned the MAAC Rookie of the Week honor twice this season. She scored her first career points in a dominant win against Loyola Maryland where she had one goal and two assists to lead the team. The Aurora, Ontario native played and started in all 18 games for the Bobcats. She had a season-high eight shots against Rider and has played 1585 minutes, which is the second-highest on the team. Scott was named to the 2019 MAAC All-Rookie Team.
Kayla Mingachos | First-Year | Right Back | MAAC All-Rookie Team
Mingachos has played and started in all 18 games for the Bobcats, primarily in the right back position. She has played 1530 minutes, which ranks the fourth-highest on the team. Mingachos has tallied one goal and one assist on the season for three points. Her first career assist came on Sept. 8 in a 2-0 win against Hartford, and her first career goal, which was the game-winner, came on Oct. 13 in a 3-0 win against Niagara. Mingachos was named to the 2019 MAAC All-Rookie Team alongside her teammates Phillips and Scott.
Quinnipiac currently has an overall record of 10-7-1 after defeating the No. 4 Marist Red Foxes in the first round of the 2019 MAAC Women's Soccer Championship. The Bobcats will continue postseason play in the semifinals as they take on No. 2 Fairfield on Thursday, Nov. 7 at 7 p.m.
